<p>The invention relates to a closure device for the door of an apparatus comprising a rotary drum, and to a latch for one such device. The inventive device comprises a latch (1) which is articulated to the moving leaf (2) of the door and a control box (4) which is connected to the fixed frame (5) of the door and which is designed to receive and lock the tip (1a) of the latch (1) in a passage (6) provided therein. The aforementioned tip (1a) serves primarily as a control point. The latch (1) comprises at least one second tip (1b) serving as a coupling tip which is separate from the control tip (1a) and which is configured such that it can be coupled in a retaining stop (13) that is connected to the fixed frame (5) of the door in a position detached from the passage (6) in the control box (4).</p>
