PURPOSE:To obtain a new pyrrolidinone derivative useful as an active ingredient of an antipsychotic and a therapeutic agents for ischemic cerebropathy without inducing side effects of extrapyramidal symptoms. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I or II [R<1> is a 1-12C alkyl, a 9-15C hydrogenated condensed polycyclic hydrocarbon group or a substitutive phenyl; R<2> is H or a 1-12C alkyl; (k) is 1-3; A is expressed by formula III or IV [E<1> to E<10> each is H, OH, CN, carbamoyl, acetyl, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy, a 1-4C perfluoroalkyl, a 1-3C perfluoroalkyloxy, a l-3C hydroxyalkyl, a 1-3C alkoxy-1-3C alkyl or benzyloxy substitutive with a halogen; F<1> and F<2> each is H, OH, a halogen, a 1-6C alkyl, a 1-6C alkoxy, a l-4C perfluoroalkyl or a 1-3C perfluoroalkyloxy; (i) is 4 or 6-9]] or its salt, e.g. 1-(4- chlorophenyl)-3-(hexahydro-1H-azepin-1-ylmethyl)-2-pyrrolidinone. |
