<p>An electric discharger (10) includes: an inductor (24), a first semiconductor switch (26), and a second semiconductor switch (28) which are connected in series between opposite terminals of a DC power supply unit (18); and a reactor (14) connected to output terminals of the inductor (24). Induced energy is stored in the inductor (24) when the first semiconductor switch (26) is turned on. The inductor (24) generates a high voltage when the first semiconductor switch (26) is turned off. The reactor (14) is discharged under the high voltage. The reactor (14) has a pair of electrodes (310, 312), a dielectric body (305) and a space (306), the dielectric body (305) and the space (306) being disposed between the electrodes (310, 312). The first semiconductor switch (26) is turned on again when charging of the dielectric body (305) of the reactor (14) under the high voltage is substantially finished.</p> |
