A range of useful moisture levels in a sealed semi-conductor device is established by placing within the container a mixture of a molecular sieve and a chemically active moisture controlling material. In the examples, the moisture controlling material consists of moistening agent such as calcium sulphate hemihydrate or a drying agent such as barium oxide. The result of tests on batches of transistors are given indicating different values of current gain for different proportions of drying or moistening material to molecular sieve material. |
