<p>A low-cost information input device for information equipment is disclosed which has characteristics of a cross key, a tablet and a stick at the same time with simple technology. Specifically, disclosed is a data input device which operates information equipment by sending an input signal according to the position touched by an operator's finger or the operation performed by the finger. The data input device comprises a finger rest unit for resting the finger, a finger position sensor capable of sensing which one of the three positions, namely which one of the right, left and middle part of the finger rest unit in touched by the finger, and a vertical switch (14) capable of switching by vertical movement of the finger rest unit. In this connection, the finger rest unit is so formed as to support the finger by two rotary bodies (1, 2) respectively having a rotary axis extending in the longitudinal direction of the operator's finger.</p> |
