<p>The method involves determining a possible set of values according to the number of bits assigned to a carrier. A circuit for searching the value of each received sample is configured based on the values by implementation of a maximum likelihood algorithm, where the values is dynamically adapted in case of a modification of the number of bits for the carrier and the algorithm is implemented over a subset of possible values. An independent claim is also included for a system of VDSL data transmission between two groups of modems.</p> |
