To prevent theft of box shaped equipment, particularly overhead projectors, security apparatus is provided which comprises first and second elements (10, 20) which are engageable with each other in a slidably adjustable manner with one at least having a series of apertures (16) whereby they are securable to each other, e.g. by a cable (30) or by a bolt, in any selected one of a plurality of adjustment positions. The elements are also securable to a fixed structure, possibly by the same cable (30). Each element (10, 20) is provided with a substantially rigid loop (12, 22) which in use will fit around opposed regions of the equipment and is arranged in a first plane. Each loop is provided with at least one additional substantially rigid strap (18, 28) which extends laterally out of said first plane and which is bent to define with the loop a close fitting cage around the region of said equipment. The cable (30) or bolt has an attachable lock device (32). |
