The invention relates to a portable sampler (1) for use in an explosion-endangered area, comprising a housing (5) wherein the following components are arranged: a pump unit (8) comprising a first drive unit (9), a sensor (10) for determining the amount of the sample which is conveyed by the pump unit (8), a control unit which controls the removal of a desired sample amount and the filling of at least one container (13), and at least one power supply unit (7) which provides the power to operate the first drive unit (9), the sensor (14) and the control unit (6). The components (6, 7, 9, 10) are built in a modular manner and each module (6, 7, 9, 10) is configured in such a manner that it has a predetermined type of protection against ignition. |
