The changeover contact (6) interacts via a slide element (10) with an armature plate (3), which is arranged on a different side of the coil (2), opposite the changeover contact (6). The abutment element (7) comprises an abutment surface (24), which is arranged below contact buttons (13) of the changeover contact (6) and abuts the changeover contact (6) below the contact buttons (13) in the open position. Improved activation behavior of the relay is achieved as a result of this position of the abutment surface.
