The invention relates to a connector (1) for connecting electric cables, in particular in automatic test equipment. In order to improve the performance of high frequency signal transmitting, the connector (1) comprises an housing (2) provided with a cable contact side (4) comprising a plurality of cable receptions (7) each adapted for electrically connecting to an electrical cable (8), a pin contact side (3) comprising a plurality of pin contact zones each (11, 14, 15) adapted for electrically contacting a contact pin (12, 16), a plurality of jackets (17) surrounding each a signal conductor (18) electrically insulated from the jacket (17), wherein each signal conductor (18) electrically connects one of the pin contact zones (15) to one of the electrical cables (8).
