An amusement ride comprises a base 4, a rotating post 1, a tilting beam 2, a suspension arm 6 and a vehicle 7. The vehicle, preferably an aeroplane, has an internal thrust motor 18. A joystick 19 in the vehicle enables a passenger to alter its height above the ground, and levers 26, 29 control the roll of the vehicle and retracts the wheels 27. A weight 11 counterbalances the movement of the vehicle; the weight may be replaced by a second vehicle. Lights inside and outside vehicle may be provided. Safety straps and a harness are included. The ride may be dismantled and packed in a box for storage or carriage. |
