The airbag module for a vehicle's occupant restraint system has a gas outlet opening (12) formed in a fixed component part (10) of the airbag module. A control device is provided at the gas outlet opening through which gas can escape and is designed so that the amount of escaping gas depends upon the flow velocity. The control device comprises two oppositely disposed plates (14,16) between which is formed a flow passage (18), and at least one of the plates is elastically mounted on a spring (20,22).
