FIELD: metallurgy, namely casting of horizontal ingots with directed crystallization. ^ SUBSTANCE: stool for casting horizontal ingot has base and working surface with thickness delta. Working surface is in the form of protrusion extending over horizontal part of working surface and having height consisting of (0.05 - 0.2)delta. Walls of working surface are inclined by angle 45 - 60° to side of stool central axis relative to vertical line. ^ EFFECT: less loss of yield, enhanced quality of ingot. ^ 1 dwg |
