The present invention is related to the preparation by aldol condensation of oligomers and polymers having a high conjugation obtained from aryl-di-aldehydes and ketones. The polymers thus obtained have electroluminescence-fluorescence properties so that they are suitably used in the microelectronic, nanotechnology, and optoelectronic fields, as well as in sensors and actuators amongst others.
