A tray with a peripheral wall and a bottom surface with engravings receives molten rubber. The engravings form low relief surfaces on the piece molded from rubber. A cover, supported on the peripheral wall, closes the tray and defines orifices for expelling the leftover rubber out of the tray. The orifices also form appendices to the molded rubber piece in the tray.
