The method involves controlling duty cycle of a control signal of an ultrasonic piezoelectric fuel injector supplying stage of an injector control device, in initial phase, to decrease energy stored in a resonant inductor (L r) and an excitation voltage (V pi) of ultrasonic piezoelectric fuel injectors (P i). The duty cycle is equal to the conduction time divided by a period of the control signal.
