The method involves deploying a set of locking staves in a position, where one of the locking staves is deployed in the same direction as that of a positioning stave corresponding to an identification mark of a part (7) e.g. turbine blade, before being free for access for machining. The locking stave supports machining efforts by replacing the positioning stave homologous of the mark before being free for access for machining. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a device for positioning and locking a part in machining position (B) a method for positioning and locking a part.
