A transporting device is disclosed for receptacles with two oppositely arranged side parts, each side part having a projection for engagement of a load suspension means. Each side part is respectively coordinated with a load arm of a lifting device. The load suspension means are arranged at the lower end of a vertically extending pivoting arm which is hinged at its lower end to the load arm, such that it can pivot abo ut a horizontal axis to adjust the load suspension means between a first position adjacent t o the projections and a second position below the projections. Switching component s are arranged on the pivoting arms, above the load suspension means, and during upward movement of the load arms, the switching components are moved by the projections around the outside of the projections to cover the load suspension means.</S DOAB>
