FIELD: video decoders; measurement engineering; TV communication. ^ SUBSTANCE: values of motion vectors of blocks are determined which blocks are adjacent with block where the motion vector should be determined. On the base of determined values of motion vectors of adjacent blocks, the range of search of motion vector for specified block is determined.
