#CMT# #/CMT# The mechanism has articulated levers (7) receiving the force applied by a user for driving belts (8). The belts are fixed and driven on pulleys (10) integrated to a free wheel (11) which is connected to a drive wheel (1) by a connecting part. The levers have a link point for connection to ends of the belts. The belts are maintained at constant tension and returned to a starting position by a return spring, before a new cycle of levers. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a device for driving a unit by the weight and force of legs or arms of a user including two belt mechanisms. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for driving a drive wheel of a bicycle, for rotatably driving a propeller to propel a bark or a pedal-boat. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The link point of the belts on the levers provides angular freedom without stress through articulation, thus avoiding angular stress on ankles of the user. The mechanism always provides a favorable angular position for support, thus having increased theoretical efficiency. The mechanism allows replacing or creating, in the existing bicycles, any driving system between pedals and drive wheel, thereby permitting the user to be seated or to stand on a bicycle with or without balancing support.
