A device and a method for offering haptic sense of an image are provided to directly offer the haptic sense to a user in real-time through a display part without any interface device and actuator, and enable a user to reduce selection error by correctly selecting a menu or an icon while directly feeling the haptic sense of the menu or the icon. When the user touches a position where the user wants to feel the haptic sense, a touch part(12) finds the position of the touched part in the display part. A magnetic force changer(14) represents magnetic forces changed according to haptic information matched with the position found in the touch part through the display part. A haptic information generator(10) generates information for the haptic sense of the displayed image as the haptic information. A haptic value calculator divides the displayed image into many sections and calculates the haptic sensor of each divided section. A storing part stores a result calculated by each section and outputs the stored result as the haptic information.
