PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plastic lens and a method for manufacturing a plastic lens having excellent weather resistance while suppressing deterioration of an antireflection film comprising an organic thin film as much as possible.

SOLUTION: The plastic lens comprises a plastic lens base material, a hard coat layer formed on the plastic lens base material, and an antireflection thin film comprising an organic thin film formed on the hard coat layer, wherein the hard coat layer is formed from a coating composition containing titanium oxide having a rutile crystalline structure as inorganic oxide fine particles.
