<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system that enables switch between increase and decrease in an amount of information displayed on a screen and enables selection of types of information displayed on the screen. <P>SOLUTION: The storage means 5 stores a display control table 51 where "display" or "non-display" of each display information group is determined for a maximum display level having a large amount of display information, a minimum display level having a small amount of display information, and intermediate display level having an intermediate amount. The setting of "display" or "non-display" of each display information group in the display control table 51 can be changed by operation of an input means 1 by a user. The display level of an image displayed on an image display means 3 can be also changed by operation of the input means 1 by the user.
