<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video game having a new screen composition and operability unavailable heretofore. <P>SOLUTION: Surfacing of a float object 305 by buoyancy after settling down at the bottom of a frame 302 imitating a water tank is simulated. A player can instruct the float object to make a first stage speed increase in a surfacing direction. In a horizontal direction, acceleration is given in accordance with time when right and left buttons are pressed and the frequency of pressing.
