<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently illuminate a plurality of serially connected light emitting diodes in simple circuitry. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting diode illuminating device includes a rectification circuit 13 for supplying pulse voltage obtained by rectifying AC voltage to a serial connection circuit of a plurality of light emitting diodes 14; and an illumination control circuit 17 for controlling to illuminate the diodes 14 so that the number of illuminated diodes increases corresponding to a change, in a phase range where the pulse voltage supplied from the rectification circuit 13 changes from low to high values, and for controlling to illuminate the diodes 14 so that the number of illuminated diodes decreases corresponding to the change in a phase range where the pulse voltage changes from high to low values. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
