PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately control a gap of a movable plate of a vibration-proofing support device. SOLUTION: The movable plate 28 vibrates in a range of a gap between first and second movable plate holders 26 and 27 when the amplitude of vibration entering an elastic body 17 is small, and therefore, noises can be blocked by reducing a dynamic spring constant of a vibration-proofing support device so that fluid pressure is not generated in a first fluid chamber 22. When the amplitude of vibration is large, the movable plate 28 blocks the openings h1 and h2 of the first and the second movable plate holders 26 and 27 to generate fluid pressure in the first fluid chamber 22 and therefore, fluid in the first and a second fluid chambers 22, 23 flows back and forth through a damping passage 30 to produce a damping force for restraining transmission of vibration. Because being made of synthetic resin or metal, the movable plate 28 is swollen even though the plate 28 is brought into contact with the fluid. Therefore, variation of the gap between the first and the second movable plate holders 26 and 27 can be restrained to the minimum, and the amplitude of the vibration of switching the movable plate 28 to the state of opening and to the state of closing the openings h1 and h2 of the movable plate holders 26 and 27 can be accurately controlled.
