PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine rapidly and accurately whether or not a driver is driving intentionally when steering control is performed such that a vehicle travels along recognized travel partitioning lines. SOLUTION: A steering control apparatus for a vehicle comprises a steering torque change state calculating means to calculate the transforming integration value to the predetermined number back to the past of the change of the steering torque detected by a torque detection means at a timing before the timing by a digital filter in which the change of the steering torque detected by the torque detection means is input at the time of determining presence/absence of degradation of the driving intention of a driver, and a driving intention determination means to determine presence/absence of degradation of the driving intention of the driver based on the result of result by the steering torque change state calculation means.
