PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which does not need a process for forming a filter in advance in a required form and inserting it into a mold, has no need to separately provide a process for cutting an excess filter part, cuts the excess filter part during resin molding, is excellent in mass production properties, and can manufacture a filter element easily and cheaply and an apparatus for the method. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for producing the filter element has the mold 4 having a core 2 and a cavity 3 for forming the filter element 50 in a desired form, a resin packing means 5 for packing a resin between the core 2 and the cavity 3 while a filter material 20 is arranged, and an ejector pin 6 for demolding an integrated frame material 51 made of a resin and the filter material 20. When the frame material 51 and the filter material 20 are pressed by the ejector pin 6, the filter material 20 is cut in a required shape, and the filter element 50 is manufactured.
