PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing apparatus in which an editing range can be easily designated without directly marking an original image to be edited, a processing time is shortened, toner consumption is suppressed and an erroneous print caused by erroneous setting by a user can be decreased. SOLUTION: The image editing apparatus is provided with: first and second image readers 3, 4 for reading a side Da to be edited on which an image to be edited is formed, of a document D and a rear side Db on which a marking image M is formed; an image processing unit 9 for producing image data of images of the side Da to be edited and the rear side Db; and an editing processing means 13 for editing image data on the side Da to be edited based on image data on the rear side Db. The editing processing unit 13 acquires central coordinates (XM, YM) relating to an editing area EA inside the image to be edited, from the position of the marking image M on the rear side Db.
