PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cradle device on which a portable terminal device is placed in a state where a user easily operates an operation unit of the portable terminal device and also easily views a display unit. SOLUTION: The portable terminal device 80 is provided with: an upper case 81 having a display unit 84 on its front portion; a lower case 82 having an operating unit 85 on its front portion; and a hinge 83 coupling the bottom end of the upper case 81 with the top end of the lower case 82 so that the upper case 81 is rotatable on the lower case 82. A recessed surface-like receptacle 2 is formed on the top surface of the pedestal body 15 of the cradle device 1. Engaging portions 3, 4 are formed on the front side of the receptacle 2, and stoppers 9, 10 are protrusively provided on the rear side of the receptacle 2. When the portable terminal device 80 is placed on the receptacle 2 in the state where the device is lodged, the engaging portions 3, 4 engage on the bottom end of the lower case 82, and the stoppers 9, 10 are inserted into the gap 95 of the hinge 83. When the upper case 81 is opened for the lower case 82, the upper case 81 abuts on the stoppers 9, 10 and the opening of the upper case 81 is restricted to its half-opening state.
