PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact noise caused by collision of a door and a front plate of a main body front face when a door sealing an opening portion of the main body front face, is closed in a high frequency heating device. SOLUTION: This high frequency heating device comprises a heating chamber 3 storing food 2, the openable and closable door 6 mounted on an opening portion 4 of the heating chamber 3, a door switch 9 operated in interlocking with the opening and closing of the door 6, the front plate 5 constituting the opening portion 4 of the heating chamber 3, a door arm 7 rotatably attached to the door 6 at its one end, a spring 12 mounted on the door arm 7 at its one end, and applying the force in the direction to pull the door arm 7, and close the door 6 in a state of being closely kept into contact with the front plate 5, and a rotary damper 30 as a damping means for applying damping force in the direction to decelerate a closing speed of the door 6 in closing the door 6, and the rotary damper 30 applies the damping force to the door arm 7.
