PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow melting agent enhancing sprinkling efficiency in order to solve problems of the snow melting agent utilizing charcoal powder and having united functions to prevent slip of pedestrians or vehicles from freezing after sprinkling over roads, golf courses or agricultural land. SOLUTION: The snow melting agent is characterized as follows. Charcoal or bamboo charcoal or chaff charcoal is stirred with charcoal powder processed into a powdery form having≤5 mm particle diameter and sand obtained by crushing river sand or mountain sand or rock and having≤5 mm particle diameter to apply the charcoal powder to the surface of the sand. Thereby, the snow melting agent can be sprinkled without scattering the charcoal powder. The slip of the pedestrians or vehicles by freezing after melting the snow can be prevented with the sand.
