<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera capable of recording correct stereophonic sounds without using a physical mechanism and without limiting the way of a photographer's holding the electronic camera. <P>SOLUTION: A sound processing circuit 17 combines sound signals inputted through two microphones 18 and 19 in accordance with angle information detected by an angle sensor 24 at the time of recording stereophonic sounds and performs processing for emphasizing the feeling of the stereophonic sounds.
