<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform adjustment control in frequency required to perform the control to the minimum even when low-duty images continue without causing trouble that the control gets complicated. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with an image forming means for forming an image by using developer based on image data, a calculation means for calculating a video counted value per one page of output image based on the image data, an integrating means for integrating the counted value calculated by the calculation means, and a determination means for determining whether or not adjusting operation for the image forming means is performed. When the counted value by the calculation means is equal to or above a predetermined value, it is integrated by the integrating means. When the counted value is equal to or under the predetermined value, the predetermined value is integrated by the integrating means instead of the counted value, and the determination means determines whether or not the adjusting operation for the image forming means is performed in accordance with the integrated value integrated by the integrating means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
