PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance work efficiency by sharing an application between a host and a hard disk drive. SOLUTION: The method includes: an application interface part 110 for forming an application interface allowing the host 200 and the HDD 100 to share an application included in the host 200 or the HDD 100 with each other; a first control code recording medium 120 for transmitting and storing a first control code of a first application included in the host 200 to the HDD 100 through the formed application interface, a first process control part 130 of the HDD 100 for controlling a process of the first application using the stored first control code.
