PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multidirectional input device capable of making a height of an insulating substrate small. SOLUTION: The device is provided with first and second interlocking members 38, 41 set in extension in directions crossing each other, an operating axis 45 turning the first and second interlocking members 38, 41, a first rotary variable resistor 34 operated through the first interlocking member 38, and a second rotary variable resistor 36 operated through the second interlocking member 41. Each of the first and the second rotary variable resistors 34, 36 is so structured that collector patterns 34a2, 36a2 on which second sliders 34c2, 36c2 arranged on the insulating substrates 34a, 36a slide, are arranged away from resistor patterns 34a1, 36a1, in a peripheral direction of the resistor patterns 34a1, 36a1 on which arc-shaped first sliders 34c1, 36c1 slide.
