PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular gear having construction for reducing gear noises without increasing its cost and weight. SOLUTION: A ring gear 3 as the annular gear comprises a gear 3a provided on the whole inside periphery of an annular base portion 3b having a predetermined uniform width. The base portion 3b consists of a first thick portion 31 having a first thickness and a second thick portion 32 having a second thickness greater than the first thickness.
