PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil spring setting device capable of compressing even a coil spring with its coil axis curved or a coil spring with a seat face at both ends thereof inclined with respect to the coil axis without any deviation. SOLUTION: In the coil spring setting device 10 having a pair of spring receivers 24 (34) to support both end turns 1A of a coil spring 1, the spring receiver 24(34) has a tapered centering projection 42 having a front end diameter (a) smaller than the inside diameter d of the end turn 1A of the coil spring 1, and an outer circumferential guide 43 to restrict the outer circumference of the end turn 1A of the coil spring 1.
