PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the commercial value of the appearance of a brake disk formed by punching. SOLUTION: Shear droop and burrs are coined by pressing a disk blank 1 so as to hold it with an upper coining die 8 and a lower coining die 9 to coin the shear droop and the burrs which are generated by punching. Because the shear droop and the burrs are eliminated and a chamfered shape is formed in that part, the appearance viewed from both sides is improved. Because the improvement of the appearance is realized by a simple and inexpensive method called coining, the commercial value of the appearance of the brake disk is enhanced simply and inexpensively. Moreover, chamfering by uniform coining is performed by shifting each coining surface in accordance with deviation in the radial direction of the disk blank of the shear droop and the burrs on the sheared sectional surface.
