PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for taking a picture in a stable state without substantially having any camera shake by notifying size of the camera shake at each direction and allowing a photographer to be conscious of the camera shake, and to provide a method for notifying a camera shake amount, and a program. SOLUTION: The camera displays to graph camera shake amounts 52, 53 and 54 classified by each camera shake component by detecting the camera shake amounts in parallel to processing of through image display or less from photographing start. The camera displays as a circular graph 56 in an example shown in the figure, and displays the size classified by each camera shake component of the camera shake in areas (different colors classified by the camera shake components)of the camera shake amounts 52-1, 52-2 and 52-3 in an equally three-divided circular graph 56.
