PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time recorder for generating time recording data which includes data for determining validness in the position of the time recorder in generating the time recording data. SOLUTION: The time recorder 10 comprises an individual identifying means 11 for inputting individual identification information; a date measuring means 13 for measuring time; a data processing part 18 for generating the time recording data, based on the individual identification information from the individual identifying means 11 and the time measured by the date measuring means 13; and a communication means 19 for transmitting the generated time recording data to a data server 100. Besides, the time recorder further includes a storage part 16 for storing time recording valid area data; and a position information acquiring means 14 for recognizing the present position of the time recorder. The data processing part 18 determines whether the present position exists within the area of the time recording valid area data stored in the storage part 16 or not, further generates time recording position validness information, and generates the time recording data including the time recording position validity information.
