PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device capable of relieving a user of the operational burden of storing the same data in a plurality of storage media. SOLUTION: When a user stores data in two storage media on a PC 1, and for example when he or she designates a file (data 1. txt) as a first path in the subfolder 2 of a folder 2 stored in an HDD 106a, "C:¥folder2¥subfolder2" is inputted as the first path. A second path "E:¥folder2¥subfolder2" is automatically created in accordance with the first path. Once the first and second paths are designated, the file (data 1. txt) is written into the subfolder 2 of the folder 2 stored in the HDD 106a designated as the first path and into the subfolder 2 of a folder 2 of a CD-R media in a CD-R drive 107 designated as the second path.
