PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a much more optical storage device under the consideration of routing information and storage device information. SOLUTION: In this storage device selection method, a gateway device 3 is provided with a routing table 351, a storage information table 352 and a processing part 33, and the processing part 33 executes a request reception step for receiving Read/Write request information from a server 1, a selection step for selecting a storage device 2 based on a routing table 351, a storage information table 352 and Read/Write request information and a request transferring step for transferring the Read/Write request information to the storage device 2 selected in the selection step.
