PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably and simultaneously perform the horizontal movement of a cradle and the horizontal movement of a table and suitably prevent the interference between a gantry and the table. SOLUTION: This carrier is so formed that a microprocessor 35 interlockingly controls a cradle horizontal movement mechanism 21c and a table horizontal movement mechanism 21i, horizontally moves the cradle 20c in parallel with the horizontal movement of the table 20i, when an operator tries to change the table height and a tilt angle, in a state after the change, calculates whether the table 20i in its present scanning position interferes with the gantry 10 or not and, when estimating that it interferes therewith, moves out the table 20i to the position non-interfering therewith.
