HYDROGEN TANK COOLING DEVICE OF HYDROGEN FUEL AUTOMOBILE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the hydrogen filling time shorter than in case a hydrogen tank is cooled using a radiator and fan mounted on the automobile at the time of hydrogen filling.

SOLUTION: From a refrigerant circulation circuit 32 of a cooling device 15 a bypass passage 39 is branched to generate the condition in which the expanded refrigerant liquid is sucked into a compressor 33 in detouring round an evaporator 36. A solenoid three-way valve 40 is installed in a branch part located nearer an expansion valve 35 in the bypass passage 39. The three-way valve 40 is changed over according to a command signal given by a control device 31 into the condition in which the refrigerant liquid having passed the expansion valve 35 is sucked into the compressor 33 via the evaporator 36 and the condition in which the liquid flows through the bypass passage 39 in detouring round the evaporator 36. A thermo-medium passage 16 is fitted with a heat exchanger 41 to perform heat exchange between the refrigerant liquid flowing in the passage 39 and the thermo-medium flowing in the passage 16.
