<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize and reduce the cost of an optical module. <P>SOLUTION: The optical module 10 comprises a light emitting element 11 which converts an optical signal into an electric signal; an optical fiber connector 40 having an end face 43 and an end face 44 adjacent in continuity to the end face 43; and a flexible wiring board 20 which is mounted onto the connector 40, has a spot indicated by an A-A broken line, at which the wiring board 20 is bent along the end faces 43, 44 of the optical fiber connector 40, to provide a part where the light emitting element 11 is mounted to be arranged on the end face 43 and a part where a board connection wiring portion 39 is formed to be arranged on the end face 44 across the A-A broken line as the boundary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
