PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a percutaneous vascular puncture sealing material capable of easy and secure hemostasis after a syringe needle or the like is pulled out of a vascular puncture point after the treatment or examination with the vascular puncture.

SOLUTION: The percutaneous vascular sealing material comprises at least a hydrogel forming high polymer and water. The percutaneous vascular sealing material is in a fluid sol state at a temperature lower than the sol-gel transition temperature (e.g. in the range from 0 °C to 37 °C), and reversibly in a hydrogel state at a temperature higher than the sol-gel transition temperature.
