RECORDING MEDIUM COVERING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hardly allow wrinkles or the like to occur on a recording medium in a recording medium covering apparatus which uses both a cover sheet and an auxiliary sheet and performs formation of a cover layer by a cover layer forming means and treatment by a cover layer treatment means. SOLUTION: The recording medium covering apparatus is equipped with the cover layer forming means 8 for pressurizing the cover sheet B and the auxiliary sheet E sandwiching the recording medium A in between the two from both surfaces of them to form the cover layer on the surface of the recording medium A, and a cover layer treatment means 10 for pressurizing the recording medium A having a cover layer F formed thereon from both surfaces thereof. A branch means 11 for branching the feed route of the recording medium A and the feed route of the auxiliary sheet E is provided so as to provide a branch position by means of the branch means 11 between the cover layer forming means 8 and the cover layer treatment means 10.
