PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction equipment diagnostic information providing device which can detect abnormality of construction equipment in an early stage, and suppresses a nonoperating period of the construction equipment to a minimum, and to provide a construction equipment diagnostic information display system. SOLUTION: The construction equipment diagnostic information providing device is comprised of a sensor 40 etc. for detecting a state quantity concerning an operating state of a hydraulic shovel 1 or a circumferential environment, and a controller 2. The controller 2 stores therein combinations of a plurality of snapshot items and the state quantity values in association with the respective items, acquires or extracts the state quantity in association with the snapshot item which the operator selected, based on the stored combinations, from a detection signal of the corresponding sensor 40 or the like, then displays the state quantity on a display unit 50, compares each state quantity or a value calculated from the state quantities with reference values in a corresponding predetermined range, determines that a component section concerned undergoes a failure if the state quantity or the calculated value falls outside the predetermined range of the reference values, and the component section on which failure determination is made or the state quantity relating to the component section is displayed on the display unit 50.
