PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an apparatus for removing polar substance in air reducing or completely solving the humidification problem of treated air occurring in the conventional apparatus. SOLUTION: In this apparatus for removing the polar substance in air, anion exchange membranes and cation exchange membranes are alternately disposed between a positive electrode chamber and a negative electrode chamber, and polar substance collecting chambers in which ion exchange resin is present between the positive electrode side anion exchange membranes and negative electrode side cation exchange membranes to pass treatment object air, and polar substance condensing chambers in which chamber liquid having polar substance absorbing capacity is charged between the positive electrode side cation exchange membranes and negative electrode side anion exchange membranes, are alternately provided. In the polar substance collecting chambers, in a range of 65% or more of ion exchange resin presence range projected on the ion exchange membrane face, the ion exchange resin is present forming only one reverse bias interface between the membranes.
